DALLAS, TX -- Letter B Productions of Hattiesburg, Mississippi has been honored by The Communicator Awards for an audio public service announcement the company produced for Family Medicine Day, a 1999 Leaders For A New Century Project. Letter B Productions received the coveted Crystal Award of Excellence in The Communicator Awards 1999 Audio Competition for its entry “Liver-Quiver Shuffle.” Beth Taylor, owner of Letter B Productions, was Creative Director on the 60-second Family Medicine Day PSA. Engineering and production of the spot were through the facilities of Blakeney Communications in Laurel, MS. Stephen St. James was Technical Director, while Bonnie VanZant, Debbie Blakeney, Cory Patterson and St. James provided voice-over talent. The Communicator Awards is
a Dallas-based awards competition that recognizes outstanding work in
the communications field. Entries were judges by a panel of professionals
who look for companies and individuals whose talent sets the highest standard
of excellence in the communications field and whose work serves as a benchmark

Productions Wins Award In The Communicator Awards 1998 Audio Competition
Letter B Productions received the Award of Distinction in The Communicator Awards 1998 Audio Competition for its entry “Cookie Nightmare.”Letter B Productions was the only Mississippi firm honored in the year’s competition. Beth Taylor, owner of Letter B Productions, was Creative Director on the Girl Scout PSA. Engineering and production of the spot were through the facilities of Blakeney Communications in Laurel. Jeremy Campbell was Technical Director, while Allyson Scott and Gene Michaels provided voice-over talent. The Communicator Awards is
a Dallas-based awards competition that recognizes outstanding work in
the communications field. Entries were judged by a panel of professionals
who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard
of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. Letter B
Productions Is Double Winner In 1999 Videographer Awards Letter B Productions won the Award of Excellence for Howard Computers ... the nation’s newest computer manufacturer. Beth Taylor, owner of Letter B Productions was Creative Director and videographer on the project. The audio announcer was Larry Blakeney of Blakeney Communications. The Award of Distinction earned by Letter B Productions was for the latest commercial produced on behalf of Realtor DeLois Smith of Doleac Realtors Better Homes and Gardens. Taylor was the Creative Director on this completely animated spot. The animation was produced by Ford, while the audio announcer was Blakeney. The Videographer Awards is a national awards organization that helps set the standards for the video production industry. Winners come from video production companies, independent producers, corporate communications departments, broadcast operations, and advertising agencies throughout the country. A panel of judges, chosen for their extensive experience and creativity in the video field, has awarded the Award of Excellence to those projects they deemed were produced, shot and edited in an exceptional manner. The Award of Distinction is awarded for projects that clearly exceed the industry standards. There were nearly 3,000 entries
in the 1999 Videographer Awards. Those entries were submitted from 48
states, the District of Columbia, and three foreign countries.
The PSA, entitled “Liver Quiver Shuffle,” was produced and directed by Beth Taylor, the owner of Letter B Productions. Taylor also created the graphics which make up the production. Editing for the spot was done by Ken Wegman of Comcast Advertising. The audio track was engineered by Blakeney Communications in Laurel, MS. "Liver Quiver Shuffle" was recognized for its outstanding production quality in the category of "TV Commercials" by a distinguished panel of judges representing industry professionals from around the country. The PSA was created as a public awareness tool to be used in conjunction with Family Medicine Day ... a joint effort by graduates of the Leaders For a New Century program, Forrest General Hospital, South Mississippi Rural Health Initiative, Wesley Medical Center, and independent physicians and dentists. The goal of the project is to give free annual check-up’s to those in need. The Leaders For a New Century program is sponsored by the Area Development Partnership. The Aegis Awards are the video industry's premier competition for peer recognition of outstanding video productions and non-network TV commercials. The Aegis Award for “Liver
Quiver Shuffle” is the eighth for Letter B Productions in the last two
years. Founded in 1990, Letter B Productions specializes in video productions,
marketing, advertising, public relations, and web site construction. Letter B Productions
Wins Pair of Aegis Awards “Santa’s Stocking,” a 30-second television commercial produced for Howard Computers, was recognized for its creativity and production. Beth Taylor, owner of Letter B Productions, was Creative Director on the commercial. The audio track was produced through the facilities of WBBN/WXRR/KZ-94 in Laurel, Mississippi, with Larry Blakeney as announcer. The other award winner from Letter B Productions was “Fast Facts Personal Realtor” produced on behalf of DeLois Smith of Doleac Realtors Better Homes and Gardens. Again, Taylor was the Creative Director with both Ford and Blakeney adding their talents in terms of animation/post-production and audio production/announcing. Letter B Productions has earned
seven Aegis Awards in the past two years. Since January 1999 Letter B
Productions has earned eight local and national awards for video production,

Productions Earns Award of Distinction In The Communicator Awards 1999
Print Competition Letter B Productions won the Award of Distinction for a web site produced on behalf of Chauvet Square development, a project of Doleac and Associates. Beth Taylor, owner of Letter B Productions was creative director on the project. Site lay-out and construction was handled by Tate Nations who is the Internet Director at Letter B Productions. The site is hosted by WebServ.Net which is also owned by Taylor. The Communicator Awards is a Dallas-based awards competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communications field. Entries were judged by communications professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. There were 2,220 entries from 49 states and Canada in The Communicator Awards 1999 Print Medium competition. The Award of Distinction is
awarded for projects that exceed the industry standards in communicating
a message or idea. Winners of The Communicator Awards come from advertising
and public relations agencies, corporate communications departments, and
other businesses and individuals related to the communications field. Letter B
Productions Wins Two Awards In The Communicator Awards 1998 Video
Competition Letter B Productions won the Award of Distinction in The Communicator Awards for a television commercial in the financial services category for Southeast Funding entitled, “The Good Life.” Beth Taylor, owner of Letter B Productions was Creative Director on the 30-second commercial. The announcer was Yancey Sanford of Lite-106 FM. Letter B Productions also won an Award of Distinction for a television commercial in the Real Estate category for DeLois Smith of Doleac Realtors, Better Homes & Gardens. Taylor was the Creative Director on the commercial entitled “Robo Realtor.” The audio track was produced through the facilities of Blakeney Communications in Laurel, with Larry Blakeney providing the announcer voice-over. Productions Wins Two National Aegis Awards The two 30-second spots, “In The Blink of An Eye/Past” and “In The Blink of An Eye/Present,” are stand-alone commercial advertisements as well as the open and close for an upcoming Howard Computers marketing video. Beth Taylor, owner of Letter B Productions, was the creative director of the award-winning material. Post-Production for the spots was done by David Selman of Sights and Sounds in Jackson. The audio track was narrated by Larry Blakeney of Blakeney Communications in Laurel, MS. “In The Blink of An Eye/Past” and “In The Blink of An Eye/Present,” were recognized for their outstanding production quality by a distinguished panel of judges representing industry professionals from around the country. The Aegis Awards are the industry's premier competition for peer recognition of outstanding video productions and non-network TV commercials.
